Chi-Q is located on the second floor of 3 on the Bund. It features the recipes of famed chef Jean-Georges who has reset the standards of culinary gourmet.

This celebrity chef has embarked on a cross cultural cooking adventure with his Korean wife Marja, bringing new soul to traditional Korean cuisine, and establishing the Bunds first modern Korean, fine dining restaurant.

The dining area in Chi-Q features a high-ceilinged atrium. The metal ceilings are done in warm colored light, and use the unique patterns to reflect the contours of a forest. The customized semi-sunken dining area, with rustic wood floors, and stenciling bulkhead partitions, integrate a refined atmosphere into the traditional Korean style.

Each customer gets six different welcome dishes according to the seasons, however kimchi is always a staple. That's because the "CHI" in the name of the restaurant is an abbreviation for kimchi itself, reflecting the important role of the pickled cabbage in Korean cuisine.
